Political Economy
In ancient times, more attention was focused on political issues and concepts with the field of economics still undefined. It was not until the 19th century that economics was determined to be a major branch of social science. Subsequently, another sub-field of economics called political economy has emerged which combine political concepts and economic behaviours to show how they influence each other. It refers to different approaches of economics, political science and law in order to explain its effect on market trends. Thus, political economy has a substantial role in significantly shaping and affecting economic markets of today.

Hence, the field of political economy continues to inspire economists to come up with better approaches in helping mankind maximise its practical applications.
