Law
Business law, or what is commonly known as commercial law refers to the body of law that covers all aspects of business and commercial transactions. The wide-ranging subjects and matters it encompassed range from merchant shipping, life and accident insurance and product liability, to corporate contracts, employment, sales of goods, and intellectual property. The scope, coverage and stipulations under commercial law vary among countries, regions and jurisdictions. In some countries like the U.S., which commercial legislation is different between states, attempts have been made to unify legal business rules. In the global scene, international institutions like the World Bank, International Chamber of Commerce, and UNCITRAL have also introduced international commercial laws with the goal to harmonise law and promote stability around the world.
