Car Sharing
A car sharing cooperative is an association of persons who joined together to carry a car sharing activity for mutual benefit. Under this type of cooperative, members own a number of cars collectively, instead of owning vehicles separately or individually. This type of cooperative is popular in the U.S., Europe and Canada, because collective car ownership is more convenient and less-expensive on the part of individual member. Moreover, it allows members to have access to a car they needed for a certain occasion and pay only by the distance or the number of hours/days a car is used. Car sharing is somewhat similar to that of car rentals; however, the former, only members (who have been under background driving checks and whose payment capability have been established) are approved to drive.
