The evolution of buses started in the year 1662 when Blaise Pascal introduced his first omnibus, although that was only operated for a few years. The first gasoline-powered bus was pioneered in Germany in the year 1895. That bus originally carried eight passengers only. The advanced technological development has given way to the innovation of the bus industry, thus producing transcontinental bus lines common in North America, the trolley, and double-decked buses mostly operated in the European countries.
