In the world of scientific technology, aviation is defined as the general term that takes into account the science and technology of flight. Aviation also refers to any activities involving the operation of aircraft as well as machines that are intended for atmospheric transportation. It is also coined to describe the means of travel operated by aircraft as transport of passengers and cargo in the field of aeroplane and airline companies.

Aviation is grouped into three divisions, namely general aviation, air transport aviation, and military aviation. General aviation refers to all aviation activities not including military aviation. Military aviation entails all aviation activities that concern military operations; while air transport aviation entails all aviation activities operated by aeroplane and airline companies may it be for commercial or private purposes.
